BaZi without a birth time: what can you check?

You receive a birth-time check, chart character, past major cycles and each Annual Pillar from 2021 to 2025. Only periods before 2026, which you can check yourself, are covered. See the sample.

Check legal time and daylight saving by the birth date. Before 1982, Singapore used different offsets, including UTC+7:20, +7:30 and +9; do not apply one offset to all dates. Historical time zones →

• When the methods agree, record the common result and separately check the birth record and chosen method.
• If methods disagree or the time is within 30 minutes of an hour boundary, confirm the record and its uncertainty first. Keep alternative hour pillars unresolved; conclusions based on only one chart remain provisional.
• Failing to handle daylight saving is a conversion error; choosing solar time is a difference of school.

3. Can you get a BaZi reading without a birth time?

Write “unknown”, or give the time range you actually remember. Do not invent a time. A broad range such as “morning” can cover more than two possible birth hours.

• BaZi: first establish which pillars can be determined. Near a solar-term or day boundary, the year, month or day pillar may also need alternative charts.
• Past phases and yearly themes: include only interpretations supported across the remaining charts; identify claims that depend on a particular chart.
• Cycle start: state the chosen method and the resulting range. Uncertainty depends on the birth-time range and solar-term boundary; it is not always just a few months.
• Zi Wei Dou Shu: a complete fixed-chart reading waits until the birth hour is established. We do not guess hour-dependent details.

A recorded time still needs historical time-zone and record checks. Matching hour pillars across calculation methods show agreement between those calculations, rather than confirming the birth record.

5. Information handling

Drafting uses birth details and chart data, identified only by a code, without real names or contact details; the drafting tool is a third-party service that processes this information. For free readings, contact details are kept so you can ask follow-up questions; tick the box when applying, or write to us after delivery, if you want them deleted within 90 days. For the paid service they are deleted within 90 days after the one-year service ends. Birth details are kept under a code for retrospective comparison.

We do not collect payment before delivery or request identity documents. Traditional readings are for reference, with no guaranteed outcome. If you are in distress, contact a local support service.

Free reading: a birth-time check, your chart's character, the major cycles you have already lived through, including the nature of the current cycle (up to 2025), and each year from 2021 to 2025. The web tool only lists stems and branches; for the written reading, join the queue.

Without a birth time, we establish the BaZi pillars that can be determined and interpretations shared by the remaining charts. Keep alternatives near solar-term or day boundaries; we do not guess an hour or provide a complete fixed Zi Wei chart at this stage.
