Free written reading sample

This text is a demonstration sample of format and expression, shown to illustrate the dimensions of analysis and the structure of the writing. An actual reading will emphasise different areas depending on the individual chart.

What does this sample include?

This BaZi sample checks the birth time, then discusses character themes, past major cycles and 2021–2025 year by year. It is an example for one chart, not your personal result.

Start with one specific statement and its stated conditions. When you receive your own reading, you can report both what fits and what does not.

New to BaZi? Start with the plain-language overview. Read the chart and year-by-year reasoning when you want more detail. Reading this public sample needs no sign-up or birth details.

Your delivered free reading includes the first two months of the paid Next 12 Months reading as a preview. This page shows a past-period sample, not that future preview.

Stems and branches: 壬申 Ren Shen (yang water / Monkey), 戊申 Wu Shen (yang earth / Monkey), 己巳 Ji Si (yin earth / Snake), 辛未 Xin Wei (yin metal / Goat). In the explanations, 財 Cai means wealth, 印 Yin means resources/support, 比劫 Bi Jie means peers, 食神 Shi Shen means expressive output, 傷官 Shang Guan means output challenging authority, 七殺 Qi Sha means forceful pressure, and 正官 Zheng Guan means formal authority. These are traditional chart roles.

This is an interpretation of this chart using traditional methods, limited to periods before 2026 that the subject could check. Please compare each statement: agreements and disagreements are both recorded, without changing the original reading.

1. Her chart and birth time

This reading uses Xin Wei from the birth-certificate time, while retaining Geng Wu as a boundary alternative. Under Geng Wu, Xin (Eating God) becomes Geng (Hurting Officer), so the Xin-restraining-Yi argument no longer applies; Wei earth becomes Wu fire, requiring a fresh assessment of roots and resource support.

Female; 21 August 1992; born in Singapore; birth-certificate clock time 14:20.

Clock time directly Historical legal standard time True Solar Time
Time 14:20 14:20 (Singapore used UTC+8 in 1992) About 13:12
Four pillars 壬申 戊申 己巳 辛未 壬申 戊申 己巳 辛未 壬申 戊申 己巳 辛未

If methods disagree or the time is within 30 minutes of an hour boundary, confirm the record and its uncertainty first. Keep alternative hour pillars unresolved; conclusions based on only one chart remain provisional.

2. In one sentence

己 earth born in 申 month, after Beginning of Autumn (the seventh lunar month), when metal is strong: visible talent and a fine eye, but relatively little underlying strength. Supportive people and a stable place help her perform. The first twenty years look smoother; pressure and responsibility arrive together in the last decade.

The day master is the day-pillar stem, representing the person (日主, also called 日元 in classical texts). Here it is 己 earth.

3. What she is like

Basis: 己土 Ji earth in 申月 Shen month (metal season), with 庚金 Geng metal in season as 傷官. Two 申 branches and 辛金 Xin metal 食神 in the hour stem make expression drain strength. Support comes from 戊土 Wu earth in the month stem, rooted in 巳 and 未 (戊 in 申 is only residual qi, a shallow root), 巳火 Si fire as 印 and 未土 Wei earth as root. 巳 and 申 both combine and punish, partly tying up 印. Under support-and-restraint (扶抑), this is weak but near the boundary: fire and earth help, metal and water drain. Wood has two sides: with 巳火 Si fire to receive it, wood generates fire and help; directly restraining 己土 Ji earth, it brings pressure.

In plain language: expression and talent use up strength. She needs support and a place to establish herself. Outside rules can become opportunities if someone helps her carry them, or burdens if no one does.

Another reading: under the pattern approach, output generating wealth (傷官生財) favours metal and water only if the day master can carry both output and wealth. Otherwise support through resource and peer elements (印比) remains the priority. This reading uses support-and-restraint; a different approach requires reassessing the cycles as a whole.

4. Past Luck Pillars (大運), through the end of 2025 only

Start: about age 4 years 8 months (April 1997); a new Luck Pillar every ten years.

Luck Pillar Period (approximate age) Money Pressure Relationships
丁未 1997–2007 (4–14) Neutral: family provision in childhood Relatively light: cared for; study less strenuous Neutral: childhood, not assessed
丙午 2007–2017 (14–24) Neutral: study and early work; little but sufficient Ordinary: teachers and elders help; study goes well Relatively weak: attention on study and self, not relationships
乙巳 (the current pillar in this sample) 2017–2025 (24–33, truncated at 2025) Neutral: position comes before money Relatively heavy: responsibilities, rules and demands from superiors arrive together; feels pushed along Unstable: partners or opportunities, tension and repeated questions about settling down

Current cycle: 乙巳 brings pressure and position together. Outside responsibilities are heavier, but support and skill can counter them. If carried through, position rises, with money following more slowly.

Basis: 丁未 and 丙午 are 印/比劫 cycles supporting the day master. In 乙巳, 乙木 Yi wood 七殺 indicates pressure and, for a female chart in this tradition, male-partner indications. 巳火 Si fire 印 redirects pressure into support (殺印相生 pressure redirected through resources); 辛金 Xin metal 食神 restrains 乙木 Yi wood through skill (食神制殺 output restraining pressure), which also costs strength. Two 申 branches combine with and punish 巳, reducing support. There is no 財 star in this cycle, so money is assessed as neutral.

In plain language: childhood and study have support. After 2017, demands increase. Support and her own skills help her carry them; position rises before money catches up.

5. Annual Pillars (流年), 2021–2025

Years follow Beginning of Spring (立春): for example, 2021 辛丑 runs from Beginning of Spring on 3 February 2021 to before Beginning of Spring on 4 February 2022.

Year Pillar Approximate age Assessment Direct reading
2021 辛丑 29 Neutral Many ideas and much work; plans are disrupted and tiring. Help exists but is unreliable.
2022 壬寅 30 Poor Hardest of these five years: rules, commitments and money press together; friction with a superior or partner is more likely.
2023 癸卯 31 Neutral to poor Outside demands and opportunities increase. Someone appears or relationships change, but support is strained and helpers have other demands.
2024 甲辰 32 Neutral Something settles — a position, commitment or relationship — but also becomes a constraint. Relationships contain two competing pulls.
2025 乙巳 33 Neutral More pressure and change, with support also present. Changes of role or home are possible themes.

7. One-sentence summary

Talent needing support is the underlying picture. Since 2017, pressure and position arrive together. 2022 is hardest; something settles in 2024 but adds constraints; 2025 has the heaviest burden and change, alongside the most support.

How to check a BaZi reading sample

BaZi, also called the Four Pillars, is a traditional Chinese system that uses birth-date and birth-time information. This page shows the writing style and reasoning; it does not establish predictive accuracy.

  1. Time: identify the period being discussed. This sample covers 2021–2025, not a forecast for the coming year.
  2. Claim: choose one concrete statement. A broad personality description is harder to check than a clearly defined situation.
  3. Conditions: check which chart, method and assumptions support it, including factors pointing the other way.
  4. Feedback: mark “fits”, “partly fits”, “does not fit” or “cannot recall”. A correction should remain distinguishable from the original claim.

You can read and share this public page without providing birth details. The basic free reading does not require a purchase, follow, share or positive review.
